Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 16, 2026
Captograph is built around a local workflow. You import a screenshot, image, or video, review the source details, and export proof media. The checked native app source does not include Captograph accounts, advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, tracking SDKs, or developer-hosted sync.
Information You Add
You may choose to add screenshots, images, video files, source text, profile names, handles, dates, metrics, avatars, media-slot corrections, and output settings such as format, aspect ratio, theme, material, crop, motion, and export options.
Local Storage
Captograph stores your active workspace locally on your device. Local workspace data can include imported media, source text, repair state, crop settings, export settings, generated MP4/PNG files, and render manifest files.
Files you save to Photos, share elsewhere, export as workspace packages, back up, restore, or copy to other locations are controlled by those destinations.
Local Processing
The core Captograph workflow uses on-device Apple and native processing. Apple Vision text recognition may draft text from imported screenshots. Local rendering creates previews, still images, and MP4 videos. Local model processing may be used for opt-in image-quality features.
Photos, Files, Share Sheet, And Clipboard
Captograph asks for Photos access when you choose images or save finished media to Photos. It uses file pickers when you import or export files, the system share sheet when you choose to share an export, and the clipboard only for actions you trigger.
Optional Pixabay Video Search
If you add a Pixabay API key and use stock video-background search, Captograph sends your search request to Pixabay and may download the video you select. Those requests are handled by Pixabay and may include request information such as your query, API key, IP address, and device/network metadata handled by the network provider.
You can avoid this external request path by not adding a Pixabay API key and by using local video files for background media.
Analytics, Ads, Tracking, And Accounts
The checked native app source does not include Captograph accounts, developer-hosted sync, advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, tracking SDKs, or App Tracking Transparency prompts.
Sharing And Exports
Captograph does not publish anything automatically. Exports leave the app only when you save, share, copy, export, back up, restore, or otherwise move them.
Children
Captograph is a creative/media utility and is not designed as a children’s service.
Changes
This policy may be updated as Captograph changes. If a future version adds accounts, sync, analytics, or other network services, this policy and the App Store privacy answers should be updated before release.
